More fun with Google Maps

I can see my house from here!

No, really.

Google maps has added satellite images to their search feature, so you can actually type in a North American location, click on “satellite”, and see a picture of whatever it is you searched for.

The Waterloo maps still aren’t very high-res, but when I say I can see my house I really mean it – it looks like they spent some time working on the Toronto maps. Either that, or Google just loves me.

Healthy paranoia

Google has an offical weblog, but I like this one better.

Why bother looking at these blogs to begin with? Well, seeing as how Google is on (among other things) the web, your computer, your phone, your TV, your blog, your business, your library, and across (literally) your world, maybe it’s good to keep an eye on them
