Finally!
We’re in Berlin right now at an Internet cafe with USB ports and some free time before our night train to Krakow, so here’s an update on what we’ve been up to and some photos to boot.
But before that: just wanted to say I hope your summer is goin well so far, and thanks for all the comments on the blog! Very, very, cool of y’all, as fun as Europe is it’s so good to hear from home.
So first things first. We’re happy, we’re healthy, we’re eating well, our clothes stink, and the trip is amaying
.

Yeah, so the last post’s photos were all from the UK and Holland, and our next stop after that was the beautiful German city of Cologne.
Absolutely incredible. As soon as you walk out the train station the massive Cologne Dom towers over you, and we climbed all 400 steps to the top to see the whole city.
We eventually got down to ground level and explored the rest of the city, but the highlight was definitely at night, when we decided to head out to a jayy bar in the evening.
We expected a typical big lounge, and it ended up being this closet-sized joint run by an ex-pat from Chicago named Joe. But wow, really comfortable atmosphere, and we made friends with a most awesome Texan (who’s living in Cologne at the moment) named Andrew. After totally clicking over dinner, he went out of his way to show us to the hottest part of Cologne at night, and we partied with some local Germans.

If you’re reading this Andrew – great times in Cologne buddy! Keep in touch

Cochem followed Cologne.
Cochem is a medieval riverbank town with a huge castle and homemade wine. We had an amayind day there, catching a €5 winery tour (with free bottles!), a castle tour in the day, and a ’selfßguided’ tour of the castle at night
Here’s us at the winery behaving ourselves…

Well, for the most part

More to follow soon! Take care guys
